J.S. HOVNANIAN & SONS RECOGNIZED FOR 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH THE BURLINGTON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Mt. Laurel, NJ – J.S. Hovnanian & Sons was recently recognized by the Burlington County Chamber of Commerce for their 20-years of dedicated membership and service to the business organization.

Throughout their longstanding relationship with Chamber, the fourth-generation family homebuilder and its principals have supported a variety of the organization’s initiatives through volunteerism and sponsorship contributions. Principal Peter Hovnanian served as President of the Board in 1997 and was named Director Emeritus in 2006.

Both Peter and brother Stephen Hovnanian, also a principal of the company, are frequently called upon to offer their expertise and guidance on panel discussions about economic development in Burlington County.

The company has also received a variety of accolades throughout their tenure with the Chamber including the coveted Voice of Business Award, which was given to the late Jirair Hovnanian in 1999 as well as Peter in 2004.

In 2008, the Chamber presented the company with an unprecedented “Special Recognition” award for the extraordinary contributions they made to the South Jersey community as part of their work on the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition project.
